Exercise Therapy Programs
If you’re looking to avoid a trip to the orthopedic surgeon or want to see if you can accomplish effective PT at home on your own before you invest in actual physical therapy sessions, check out these exercise therapy packages. These self-paced programs provide you with education, exercises and stretches to help resolve your specific chronic pain issue. Handouts and videos provide you with all that you need to get in an effective rehab-based program at home. And you can add on live sessions with me to further customize your pain-relief strategy. Specific packages are available for knee pain, hip pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain, and improved flexibility.
Post-Rehabilitation Training
Once you’re done with formal physical therapy, you want to maintain the gains you’ve made. Simply stopping your therapy with no game plan afterwards can lead to reinjury or cause a less-than-optimal recovery from surgery long-term. This type of post-rehab is also an appropriate option for those who never completed a physical therapy program post-injury or post-surgery. We will customize an exercise and wellness program that will help you keep your strength and able to effectively do the activities that you enjoy.
Pre-Surgery Strengthening
If you’re heading into any type of surgery, your outcome will progress so much better if you go into that surgery strong. A body that is stronger and more flexible WILL recover more effectively than one that is weak and sedentary. And this applies to ALL types of surgeries, not just those of an orthopedic nature. We will increase your strength and stamina, custom-tailored to your specific procedure, and I’ll give you a strategy of things that you’ll do on your own outside of our sessions together.
One-to-One Sessions
These are private sessions, conducted either in your home, my studio, or virtually (using Zoom). You will receive customized movement analysis, exercise prescription, precise coaching on technique and form, plus recommendations for what to do outside of that particular session. Each meeting is 45 minutes, ranging in cost from $45-$75. I am based in Washington Township, Michigan.
Group Classes (virtual)
These classes meet weekly – Tuesdays at 8 a.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. All sessions are conducted virtually (via Zoom) – enjoy the convenience of working out at home! Class size is 5-8 participants. I give individual coaching/instruction as needed throughout the class. Equipment needed: several sets of dumbbells, resistance band, large exercise ball. Class is appropriate for all levels. $12 per class.
Pilates Group Classes (virtual)
Every Monday and Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Monday classes focus a bit more on lower body conditioning and balance. These are virtual classes…work out in the convenience of your home! Sessions are 45 minutes. Class is appropriate for all levels. $12 per class.
Consultation/Wellness Coaching
You may be looking for some overall guidance with the orthopedic/medical condition you’re dealing with. I am available to meet with you – or discuss via phone or Zoom – to help you formulate the best strategy for managing your health and wellness. Things we may discuss: Exercise therapy, rehabilitation options, nutrition, and wellness coaching.
